The positive effects that edge rounding and oxide removal have on paint adhesion
LISSMAC has done research to achieve better paint adhesion. Salt spray and impact tests prove that edge rounding and oxide removal can dramatically improve the quality of painted or coated parts. – This was the original reason to design our line of metal machines.
Removing a vertical burr after laser cutting or punching, resulting in a smooth and safe edge
Removing dross and slag after plasma, oxy fuel, and hi-def plasma cutting, resulting in a smooth and safe edge
Achieving a rounded edge for better paint adhesion, by taking deburring one step further to rounding the edges, so they are safe to the touch and well prepared for painting (edge rounding is not only for safe handling, it also aids in giving better paint adhesion)
Deburring and creating a directional surface grain, resulting in an aesthetic finish on the surface (#4 finish)
